The EPM process a particular client undertakes is highly dependent on the starting point and resident capabilities. Our recommended first step in a typical client relationship is an Performance Management Audit that evaluates the presence of key EPM process components as well as gaps in KPI’s, business objectives, and measurement architecture. Our findings from this audit will direct our clients to one or more critical areas like KPI design, validating/ strengthening targets and goals, tying metrics to key initiatives and investments, evaluating/designing and implementing requisite software and tools, EPM process design, and changes to culture required to effect EPM success. A typical audit will last 2-4 weeks, with downstream support typically ranging from 1-6 months depending on the scope of change required.
